Hi fellow boaters we have managed to remain defrosted just but when is the summer returning so that we can move away from the fire . We wish all fellow boaters and friends a VERY HAPPY CHRISTMAS and a warmer new year.
Well its me again defrosted at last well until next week when the cold and snow is due to return so we will open the fire up and try and keep warm once again.
Thank goodness for the Morco squirrel fire and the back boiler which helps to keep out the cold providing we keep it stoked up .
Having spent last night at Hudlesford junction we have continued our cruise and will spend the night at Handsacre . At Shade House lock we past fellow bloggers on narrowboat Seyella who were just mooring up ,Tomorrow weather permitting we will cruise to Rugeley for the chance of more shopping .
Yes we are moving from Fazeley to the Staffs and Worcester canal maybe that will make B.W.B enforcement officers happy but not for long they will still keep hounding us boaters who pay our licence and their wages.
Yes it's that blogger again not a lot of cruising just many jobs to do and now I have to fit a new Morco water heater . The old Paloma has now had its day but to replace it requires a new flue and of cause the pipe does not match up so not just a straight forward job but nothing ever is on a boat .
At last I can start the repairs to my boat dog boxes the wood will be arriving tomorrow . Other than that I have not done much to write home about although the time seems to have been used up doing other odd jobs on the boat .
Its not been all plain sailing as one night yobs stole a solar lamp off the boat and this afternoon I had to call the police because 3 youths were breaking into a building and attempting to steal lead off the roof.
Yes its time to do some repairs and painting so no peace for me .We have enjoyed a day in the sun and we have made the most of it by topping up our suntan. Tomorrow I will start on the repairs to my dog boxes by replacing some of the hinged flaps before the winter returns ,well it will soon be here as they are advertising Autumn on the Tv.
Today I have fitted the new inverter so now we can do the washing once more. Well we brought a new washing machine which will only work from pure sine wave electricity so now I have a modified sine wave inverter to sell for about £200 if any one is interested phone 07960 363240. Tomorrow I might get a day off if I am lucky.
Yes I do work on the boat sometimes today I have installed the new inverter which will power our washing machine. Well at least its kept me dry and away from the pouring rain which is coming down in bucket fulls.
At last I have fitted the new boiler in the squirrel and new pipe work. I have sealed all but one leak which is on the stove pipe so I must do it tomorrow before the rain comes back. Then I can have a rest before something else goes wrong (the joys of boating they say).
Well I am back again thing are mad at the moment .We woke Tuesday to find water poring from the squirrel fire and found the boiler had sprung a leak. So much expense new boiler new pipework and unions and now I have to cure the small leaks and get the boat ship shape again. Maybe we will get a chance to go for a cruise( well we hope so).If anyone is interested it is possible to change the boiler without removing the top of the fire .
Yes it,s that narrowboat Chi-Cheemaun back at Fazeley for a few days. What a nice day wall to wall sunshine and above 90 degrees in the boat that,s warm by our standards. We have spent the day topping up our suntan and meeting old friends.
Yes we have a change of scenery this is just outside Fazeley Mill Marina . Its been a nice day plenty of that unusual thing called sun so we have made the most of it. Tomorrow we will cruise to Kingsbury Water Park and wind the boat and we may then return to Fazeley to meet up with our friends on narrow boat Tailwind .
Just a short cruise to Fazeley Mill Marina after doing the usual chores like watering up and getting rid of rubbish at B.W .Its nice to get a change of scenery and give the engine a run to charge up the batteries so that I can do this blog.
Yet another day at Fazeley but with luck and some good weather we will move down the Bham and Fazeley canal for a change of scenery and maybe do some more painting .
Yet another day at Fazeley and the good news is we now have more power after fitting 4 new batteries .We have had a nice day with a visit from our daughter and family to help us celebrate our wedding anniversary and my pending birthday (yes another year older) but still blogging on. Depending on the weather tomorrow we may take a short cruise down the Birmingham and Fazeley canal just for a change of scenery.
Yes we are still at Fazeley doing not a lot just hoping for some sunshine (not a chance ) but I am hoping summer will return before December. Well some other blogger may bring us some good weather so if anyone has any send it this way then maybe I will get some more painting done .
We are still at Fazeley moored up with lots of our friends .With a bit of luck we will get some more summer (well we can only hope) at the moment it looks more like winter has returned .Well thanks to Graham we now have plenty of coal to keep the home fires burning..It sounds like gale force winds outside so I will stoke up the fire and stay put until summer returns.
We have arrived at Fazeley today and will spend time meeting all our friends in the area.Having spent two days at Valley Cruisers base at Nuneaton and caught up with the washing .Owing to the fact that our generator will not run the new washing machine we had to plug into a electric supply which Valley Cruisers supplied .
Yet another sunny day we decided it was time to do the washing in our new washing machine but it will not work on our new generator, O Dear whoops. So we have managed to get a couple of days mooring with electric at Valley Cruisers/Outboard Energy. Our cruise will continue on Sunday with all the washing done and diesel tank filled up.
Well we have spent a few days at Rugby fitting a new shower control and food shopping . Today we met up with Derwent6 and Del and Ali who seem to be going the same way as us . Tomorrow we will contine our cruise to Hawsbury Junction and a sharp right turn towards Nuneaton .

We have cruised from Braunston to bridge 81 for an overnight stay .So today it was just a short cruise to Rugby for a chance to visit the shops on the way we past Derwent6 another fellow blogger. We will spend some time at Rugby shopping and avoiding the weekend boaters.
The cruise continued from Braunston tunnel and it was good to see they had started the work between the tunnel and the top lock. Lets hope that BW then go on to fix the leaking gates at Watford and Foxton. We have moored for the night at bridge 81 near the prison I hope they don't escape. We came down Braunston Locks with a very nice couple on Nb.Cider with Rosie so maybe Dave and Rosinda will remember the experience.
Hi fellow blogers and boaters the time has arrived for Chi-Cheemaun to cruise once more .Having left our mooring at Debdale Wharf we have cruised to Welford for a short stay and we are now on our way to Yelvetoft and then on towards Braunston.
