The last bit of the trip

We will stay here for a while and get our certificate of compliance done and the go cruising again .

Nearly there now

Today we have cruised from Welford to Bridge 60 at Foxton. It was a nice sunny day but at Kilworth and found a flat named BEC blocking the canal a couple on narrowboat Nesta and us had to pole the boat back to the side of the canal and secure it with rope I supplied.
Is it time British Waterways made the contractors secure their boats correctly or fine them when as today they blocked the canal.
If it had been my boat B.W would have charged me for them to sort it out.

Atlast i have been able to do the blog

Yesterday we cruised to Watford and climbed the locks where i gained three pasengers who were French and wanted to see what it was like going up the locks,(well ive done my bit for Anglo/French relations )
Today we have cruised in glorious sunshine from Watford to Welford junction and tomorrow morning we will cruise along the Welford arm and meet old friends and my brother that if I can find a mooring.

What a day

Today we were enjoying the country side by bridge 78 on the North Oxford canal until the hire boaters from Rose Narrowboats and Clifton Cruisers turned up.
I think they must be holding speed trials by the speed they pasted moored boats so lets hope i don't pass them tomorrow. At least I found one who had some sense in the form of the hirer on Rose Narrowboat RUMBA who said the other hirer's we going at a ridiculous speed.
We should name and shame these hire companies for the lack of instruction or should we inform them of the hirer's misdemeanor's and then they can refuse to refund the deposit the hirer pays.
